Hello, I am Dale Blackburn, LCSW, a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and Licensed Clinical Social Worker committed to providing professional mental health services to veterans and their families.
I served honorably in the United States Air Force for 27 years, from 1977 to 2004, specializing in Logistics Plans and serving during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Following my military retirement, I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I bring more than 12 years of professional experience providing mental health services to adults and children.
My military background gives me a firsthand understanding of military culture and the unique challenges veterans and their families may experience. Combined with my education and clinical experience, this perspective allows me to approach each veteran with professionalism, compassion, and an understanding of the experiences that can continue long after military service ends.
Today, I provide mental health evaluations, assessments and diagnosis, and nexus letters to assist veterans with VA disability claims. My goal is to provide clinically sound services while helping veterans document the connection between their military service and qualifying mental health conditions when clinically appropriate.
